Richard Lin, DO

Dr. Richard Lin is the founder of Orthopaedic Associates of Southern California. Dr. Lin completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis, and medical school at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He finished his residency in orthopedic surgery within the North Shore – Long Island Jewish Health System in New York where he served as chief resident. He completed his spine fellowship training at the world-renowned University of California, San Diego where he was involved in resident education and the operative management of United States Olympic athletes. During his training, he has given scientific poster presentations to the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics and AO Spine North America.

Dr. Lin specializes in the management of adult spinal disorders and procedures aimed at the alleviation of nerve-induced pain coming from the spine. Additionally, he has specific interest in the management of adult spinal deformity secondary to degenerative changes.

He believes in exhausting all conservative measures before undergoing surgical intervention and has been trained as a minimally invasive spine surgeon. Dr. Lin is able to approach the spine from numerous directions – the front, back, and even the side making him unique by placing him on the very cutting edge of spine surgery.
