Ryan Stancil, MD

Dr. Stancil completed his undergraduate training at the University of California, Los Angeles and attended medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia.

He then completed a year of surgical training at the University of Washington in Seattle prior to entering active duty as an officer in the United States Navy.

After completing Navy Dive School, he served with the submariners and divers of Submarine Development Squadron Five as an undersea medical officer.

During this time he undertook several missions to the Aquarius Reef Base in the Florida Keys where he took care of scientists, divers, and astronauts living underwater for weeks to months at a time.

During this time, he also earned a Masters in Public Health from the University of Washington.

After leaving service, he completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Washington.

He has written and presented multiple peer reviewed publications as well as book chapters in hip and knee reconstruction.

He completed his fellowship in Joint Replacement and Adult Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Dr. Stancil has an expertise in diagnosing and treating complicated injuries and diseases of the hip and the knee, including performing complex primary and revision surgeries.
