Mark Cubberly, MD

Dr. Cubberly is a Southern California native and grew up in Fountain Valley, California. He completed his undergraduate degree at UCLA in Integrative Biology and Physiology followed by obtaining his Masters degree at UCLA in Integrative Biology and Physiology. Dr. Cubberly then left Southern California to obtain his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia.

He couldn’t stay away from SoCal for long and returned to complete his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine. At UCI, he gained excellent training in all facets of orthopedic care.

From his undergraduate and Masters degrees through residency and fellowship training, he has performed both laboratory and clinical research with multiple papers published in academic journals.

He went on to complete his fellowship in Joint Replacement and Adult Reconstructive surgery at Hoag Orthopedic Institute in Irvine, California.

Dr. Cubberly gained an expertise in primary hip and knee replacements as well as complex and revision surgery. He is qualified in anterior and posterior approaches to the hip and has extensive experience with the anterior approach. He also received training in robotic total knee replacement as well as partial knee replacement.

Dr. Cubberly prides himself in providing the highest clinical care possible and treating each patient with the utmost respect, compassion and humanity. He was voted “Resident of the Year” at UCI which highlights his dedication to clinical excellence and his commitment to maintaining exceptional bedside manner.

Outside of work, Dr. Cubberly loves traveling with his wife, going to Disneyland with family, and enjoying all that Southern California has to offer.
