Dr. Kelvin Kim is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with a focus on orthopedic sports medicine. A former NCAA basketball player for the UCLA Bruins, Dr. Kim combines his medical expertise with his passion and experience as an athlete to offer a unique perspective to sports medicine here at OASC.
After earning his medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine, Dr. Kim completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the renowned Orthopedic Sports Medicine fellowship at the University of Washington.
With over 25 peer-reviewed publications and more on the way, his work has earned him multiple awards, such as the Penn State College of Medicine’s Medical Student Research Award, the Orthopedics Blue Ribbon Article Award, and recognition from the Clark County Medical Society, as well as the Clinical Orthopaedic Society.
Fluent in English and conversational in Korean, Dr. Kim is committed to providing personalized care to a diverse patient population. His experience treating professional athletes include team coverage for the University of Washington Huskies, as well as the Seattle Mariners of the MLB.
